Super Smash Bros 6 Quickplay Playlists

Smash 6 uses Online Quickplay playlists with fixed rulesets. There is no Preferred Rules system in SSB6. When a player selects Online Quickplay, they will choose 1 of the following playlists to queue into. A player will be guaranteed to get the ruleset of the playlist they queue into.

Ranked 1v1, Ratio Tag Team, and Team Attack Doubles are all played in sets of First to 2.

Playlist of the Week

The Playlist of the Week is a rotating special ruleset offering an experience outside the standard playlists. See the dedicated Playlist of the Week page for full details on how it works. These mostly feature Custom Smash modifiers or the new Cucco-Keep-Away / Capture The Flag game modes. Most of these playlists are 4 player free-for-all playlists, though there are a few 2v2 playlists and one Tag Team playlist.

Notes

The overhauled Online Quickplay experience in Smash 6 is a tremendous Quality of Life improvement. The consistency of the playlists allows for a much more pleasing experience than the Preferred Rules system Ultimate used.

These 7 playlists represent the expected core of Smash 6's replay value, with a splash from the rotating playlist of the week. There are choices here for casual and competitive play, and the experiences from Smash Ultimate are still preserved here through Unranked 1v1, Team Battle, and Free-For-All King of the Hill.

These playlists should keep the game fresh and preserve it's replay value for decades.
