Remote Friend

Smash 6 allows playing Online Quickplay with a remote friend. One player invites a friend to a party group and they queue into the matchmaking system together.

Doubles is an extremely popular format in Smash Bros, so being able to play with a friend or family member regardless of physical location is an important feature.

Team-Attack Doubles and Team Battle can no longer be played with a random remote teammate — a pre-made group is required.
