Ratio Tag Team 3v3
The Ratio Tag Team 3v3 playlist in Smash 6 provides fresh team building every season and prevents a stale meta. The Ratio Sheet used for this mode is simply (and intentionally) randomly generated before the start of each season:
- 10% of the Playable Fighters are given a value of 1 Point
- 20% of the Playable Fighters are given a value of 2 Points
- 30% of the Playable Fighters are given a value of 3 Points
- 25% of the Playable Fighters are given a value of 4 Points
- 15% of the Playable Fighters are given a value of 5 Points
The team building rules are:
- A Team must have 3 Playable Fighters on it
- A Team cannot exceed a total of 7 points
The team building process is done on the Character Select Screen, before queuing into the matchmaking system.
Pokémon Trainer Notes
When a player selects Pokémon Trainer on the Character Select Screen for Ratio Tag Team, they will be allowed to pick which Pokémon (Squirtle / Ivysaur / Charizard) to add to their team. The selected Pokémon will fill slots on the Tag Team. The player may add 1, 2, or all 3 of Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon. If adding all 3, the point cost total of the team will always be 7, regardless of Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard's individual point costs. If only adding 1 or 2 of Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon, then the specified point value for those Pokémon will be used. The move Pokémon Change is disabled in Tag Team mode and the active Pokémon will not change upon being KO'd.
Notes
The Ratio format is a superb way of keeping the game fresh. The random point assignment encourages team building each season.
Pokémon Trainer ensures Lite Edition will always have at least 1 playable team composition for the Ratio playlist.
