Button Mapping Options

The D-pad buttons now support movement and directional input mappings.

  • D-Pad-Up can be mapped to Up
  • D-Pad-Left can be mapped to Left
  • D-Pad-Left can be mapped to Right
  • D-Pad-Down can be mapped to Down

The player can set D-Pad movement to Walk or Sprint. Walk makes the D-Pad simulate "light presses" of the left stick, while Sprint simulates "full presses".

The Right-Stick is split into separate directional inputs, which can all have unique actions assigned to them:

  • A mapping for Right-Stick-Up
  • A mapping for Right-Stick-Down
  • A mapping for Right-Stick-Left/Right

The Left-Stick is also split into separate directional inputs, which can all have unique actions assigned to them:

  • A mapping for Left-Stick-Up
  • A mapping for Left-Stick-Down
  • A mapping for Left-Stick-Left/Right

The following buttons can now have actions assigned:

  • Plus
  • Minus
  • Left-Stick-Click
  • Right-Stick-Click

The Tag-Team buttons can be mapped:

  • Any button can now be mapped to Assist 1
  • Any button can now be mapped to Assist 2
  • Any button can now be mapped to Tag-In 1
  • Any button can now be mapped to Tag-In 2
  • Any button can now be mapped to Assist 1 / Tag-In 1. Tapping the button calls the Assist. Holding the button Tags-In the standby character.
  • Any button can now be mapped to Assist 2 / Tag-In 2. Tapping the button calls the Assist. Holding the button Tags-In the standby character.

These actions can now be mapped to any button:

  • Walk
  • Sprint
  • Direction Lock
  • Final Smash Attack
  • Smash-Link
  • Up-Special
  • Up-Smash
  • Nothing (Unassigned)
