Sprint Button

Smash 6 has a mappable Sprint Button, and when it is being held all directional inputs will be considered fully pressed and smash-input.

If the player jumps, attacks, or uses an action that takes them out of the running state while holding the Sprint button, the Sprint Button does not have to be released and pressed again to start running again after that action has finished. The character will start initial dash into running again on the first frame they can, assuming left or right directional input is being held.

Notes

One of the hardest parts of Smash Bros, especially for newcomers, is being able to "gently" push the left stick. So the Walk and Sprint Buttons mitigate that issue.
